Hey folks, Harry here with the latest insanity from one of the most amazing and talented performers that has yet to really emerge in the States - but neverthless... is a Super Genius. I am, of course, talking about Stephen Chow. Stephen is just... well watch SHAOLOIN SOCCER, THE GOD OF COOKERY, CHINESE ODYSSEY and CHINESE ODYSSEY PART 2 and personally my favorite... the KING OF BEGGARS! SHAOLIN SOCCER was kind of released in the United States - with all the force of a dead man's fart behind it. Seems that Mr Chow has decided to take some potshots at the "Miramax" style of Kung Fu film releases. Having said that... Miramax is finally doing a really great job, at last, with HERO. Anyway, see if you don't giggle a bit at the trailer below...

Stephen Chow Takes A Jab At Miramax With Trailer For His Latest Film 'Kung Fu Hustle'

I'm pretty sure this isn't old news yet but a very brief trailer has hit the net for Stephen Chow's upcoming film Kung Fu Hustle. If you've seen Miramax's butchered version of Shaolin Soccer that comes out on DVD on 8.24 you'll understand why Stephen Chow is shown crushing the ball as well as the inclusion of the gag inducing use of Kung Fu Fighting. I can't believe they used the song Celebration two times in the Miramax cut of Shaolin Soccer...I'm to understand that the DVD will indeed have two cuts of the movie which is a good enough reason to give Best Buy your 13 bucks.
