You all know that I have been keeping an eye open for Mighty Joe Young, which is probably my most... anxious film of next summer. Anxious in that I want it to be so damn fantastic that it brings the name of Joseph Young to the lips of children everywhere. I recently introduced the original film to a 8 year old ape nut I met at a show, he went nuts over the original. However, one of my spies recently had the privilege to see a rough two minute cut of what could be a teaser for the movie. You see, the reincarnated Peter Proud was able to infiltrate the Disney world via wearing a mousketeer hat and saying, "Hey there, Hi there, Ho there," to everyone. (It's the secret code word at Disney)
It's basically from the scene that the shot that appeared on the site was from! Peter Proud told me, "Harry, you have got to see Joe MOVE on screen, at once gracious and forceful." Bill Paxton must have missed out on his hair dresser's appointment because he is wearing such bad hair but Charlize Theron looked remarkable according to Peter!!! She looks more and more like Ashley Judd now. It's all jungle sequences where Paxton convinces Theron to bring Joe out of the jungles but she refuses, then some hunter type fired a shot in the middle of the night. All hell broke loose with a fiery montage of adventure scenes with Joe, Bill and Charlize. This movie could give Godzilla a run for its money, if marketed correctly, and if the portrayl of Joe is NOTE PERFECT.
