Well this is a flick that I don't know much about. It started up shooting March of this year, with an under $10 million budget, and no hype at all, so this appears to be the first word upon it. Let's see what other have to say...
I went to this screening of this new movie called "GO" which is directed by the same guy who did Swingers. It was billed as a "black comedy" a la pulp fiction. I don't know about that last bit but it was pretty damn funny -- without all the violence of PF. I enjoyed it a lot and I wanted to share with you and your friends if y'all are interested.
It's set in L.A. and centers around this rave. The movie repeats over the hours before and after the rave telling what goes on for a bunch of twenty-somethingers from each persons perspective. It's really hilarious and although this kind of thing has kinda been done before, it's really original and funny. Everyone in the theatre cracked up several times.
Some of the actors in the movie are: that brunette girl from Dawson's Creek on TV, Jay Mohr (Jerry Maguire), Scott Wolf from Party of Five on TV. That's all I know and they're probably the most recognizable. But all the actors were good and I just have to say the movie is freaking hilarious. It wasn't that exclusive, as in you don't have to be totally hip to the rave scene to enjoy the movie.
I don't think the film had a huge budget and I bet when it gets released (probably around the holiday season since the movie was set around that time) it's not gonna get a lot of publicity. BUt I encourage everyone out there in Harry's world to see it.
