Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my first round of precoverage for the awesome San Diego Comic-Con. The con starts this Thursday, July 22nd (or Wednesday for all us "Preview night" badge holders) and runs through Sunday, July 25th. Just like the last 4 years, I'll be there with bells on. I have a whole bunch of super-duper exclusive stuff already lined up, but I have to keep a tight lip on some of it. Never fear, I've got your back, Bubba. Everything that's super-cool is on my radar.
To prove it, I have the line on where all you lucky Comic-Con attendees can pick up your passes for the exclusive screening of SHAUN OF THE DEAD Thursday night, introduced by Shaun himself, the wonderful and talented Simon Pegg and the equally wonderful and talented director Edgar Wright.
You can pick up tickets at Sci-Fi Channel's booth at 11:30am on Thursday morning.
I hear rumblings of a second screening being added for Friday, but nothing's confirmed on that one. I'll let you know when I hear anything.
I have gone through the schedule over at Comic-Con's website and have pulled out damn near every theaterical film-related panel going on from beginning to end. Keep in mind that the below is only a portion of the coolness of the Con. There are countless panels covering the world of Comics (Stan Lee, Mike Mignola, Jeff Smith, Will Eisner, Joe Quesada, Brian Bendis, Jim Lee, Garth Ennis), Books (Robert Jordan, Kevin J. Anderson), TV (TruCalling panel with the yummy Eliza Dushku, panel on a new series called LOST that I've heard great things about written by Paul "BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES" Dini and "ALIAS" creator J.J. Abrams and starring Dominic Monaghan, SIMPSONS panel with Groening) and Toys (bunches of panels with the talented sculptors from every big geek Action Figure manufacturer). Go to the Comic-Con's site if you'd like to see more of that kind of stuff.
Now on for the good stuff... I'll be commenting on it as we go along, but there's everything from Keanu to Sarah Michelle Gellar to The Coreys (yes, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman are doing a panel together. Somewhere an angel is crying tears of happiness)... Let's get started, shall we?
THU:

Free DVDs as door prizes! Cool!
1:30-2:30 Graveyard Filmworks Preview: Boo and Cemetery Gates —Prolific film producer David E. Allen (Dog Soldiers) introduces his new horror film company Graveyard Filmworks. Trailers exclusive for Comic-Con will be shown for the first two Graveyard Filmworks projects: the chilling haunted hospital thriller Boo and the savage creature feature Cemetery Gates. There will be a Q&A session, exclusive giveaways, and first official news of the sequel to the werewolf cult favorite Dog Soldiers! Panelists include writer/director Anthony C. Steven Felty (Surreal World - Tatooine Episode 1.5), Rachel Melvin (Boo), and Peter Stickles (Shaft). Room 6CDEF
I'll be at this panel with bells on. David Allen is one of those guys I love to listen to talk. His wild tangents are classic. I've heard BOO looks pretty solid. I stopped by the set of CEMETARY GATES a while back and Reggie looks cool as hell... although the monster was a bit on the cheese-ball side. We're sure to see some footage during this panel from both films!
3:30-4:30 Richard Kelly Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut— Writer/director Richard Kelly will be on hand for an hour-long Q&A about his feature film debut, Donnie Darko, which has become a cult classic. The program will include clips from Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut, which will be theatrically rereleased on July 23 in select cities. Kelly is currently at work on his follow-up feature film project, Southland Tales. Room 6CDEF
Can't miss this one. I'm a huge DONNIE DARKO whore and can't wait to listen to Kelly talk about it.
5:30-7:00 Spotlight on Bill Plympton—The popular cartoonist/ animator known for his warped sense of humor Bill Plympton has produced and animated several films, including Mutant Aliens and the upcoming Hair High, a gothic ‘50s high school comedy about a love triangle that goes terribly wrong. Bill talks about his career and gives a drawing demonstration in this spotlight session. And see Hair High Saturday night at 10:00 p.m.! Room 8
6:00-7:00 Ringers/Peter S. Beagle—Get an exclusive first look at the upcoming feature-length documentary Ringers: Lord of the Fans and meet legendary fantasy author Peter S. Beagle (The Last Unicorn)! Very funny and often moving, Ringers uncovers the past 50 years of Tolkien pop mania. This special hour includes writer/producer/director Carlene Cordova; writer/producer Cliff “Quickbeam” Broadway; 2nd unit director/producer Danny Lukic; and director of photography/co-producer Josh Mandel, with Ringers footage shown for the first time anywhere. Peter S. Beagle makes his Comic-Con debut with revealing stories of his work on the 1978 Bakshi version of LOTR, and several surprise announcements! Room 6CDEF
The production of the above documentary was pulled together by true fans and has the Last Unicorn author. Double threat!
FRI:
10:30-12:00 Battlestar and Beyond with Richard Hatch—Richard Hatch discusses his role on the new Battlestar Galactica series and why he chose to do it. He will also discuss his sixth BG novel Destiny and debut his company’s just completed Magellan trailer, along with previewing the art and story for his new Magellan comic coming out later this year. Join Richard for an insightful and revealing Q&A session. Room 6AB<
12:30-2:00 Warner Bros.: Batman Begins and Constantine—Warner Bros. presents looks at two of the most eagerly awaited comic adaptations of all time! First up: Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight’s emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents’ murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high-tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city. Participating in the panel are actor Cillian Murphy (Dr. Jonathan Crane) and screenwriter David Goyer. They will also sign autographs in the DC Comics booth after the event. Second on today’s WB bill is Constantine, based on the DC Comics/VERTIGO black'> Hellblazer graphic novels and written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello. The supernatural thriller tells the story of John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), a man who has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Katelin Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldy events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost. Appearing at this event are actors Keanu Reeves and Djimon Hounsou and director Francis Lawrence. Hall H
This is a big one! Keanu and the Batman Begins guys. Expect this one to be packed to the gills!
1:00-2:30 Lions Gate: Open Water and Saw—The editors of CFQ magazine present an in-depth preview of two of this summer’s hottest upcoming films. First on the bill is Open Water, the most terrifying shark movie since Jaws, with stars Blanchard Ryan and Daniel Travis on hand to answer questions. Also, be the first to see the “first seven minutes” of Saw, a horrifying new thriller starring Cary Elwes. Tickets and giveaways will be awarded at the panel. Room 6AB
This has the unfortunate timing of happing against Batman Begins... I've heard nothing but good stuff about OPEN WATER and have seen SAW, which is a great indie horror flick.
2:30-3:30 Disney/Pixar: The Incredibles—Pixar Animation Studios offers a sneak peek at its much-anticipated computer-animated feature The Incredibles (coming from Walt Disney Pictures on November 5), as it spotlights the career and creative genius of Brad Bird. Director Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, The Simpsons), producer John Walker, and moderator Mark Vaz (author of Art of The Incredibles, The Art of Finding Nemo, The Invisible Art: The Legends of Movie Matte Painting [co-authored by Craig Barron], Behind the Mask of Spider-Man: The Secrets of the Movie, etc.) will discuss the filmmaking process and present the world premiere of a scene from the film, along with other surprises. Those attending this presentation will receive an exclusive Comic-Con poster for The Incredibles designed by the legendary Mike Mignola. Mike and Brad will be on hand for a special limited signing immediately following the program. Room 20
I'm Brad Bird's bitch. IRON GIANT guts me every time I see it and I can't wait to see the perfect and magical mixture of Bird and Pixar. I'm trying to nail down an interview with Bird at the moment, but his schedule seems to be very tight. I'll keep up the good fight, believe you me!
3:30-5:00 MirrorMask: Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean—Renowned modern comic book writer and best-selling novelist Neil Gaiman and critically acclaimed multimedia artist Dave McKean join to create MirrorMask, their first feature together. Produced by Jim Henson Pictures, this story of an unforgettable journey through a world filled with magic, fantastic creatures and illusion follows the tradition of The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. Gaiman wrote the screenplay and McKean directed the film using a combination of live-action and CG animation. Room 20
I'm very curious about this project. Thanks to my very close coverage of the film adaptation of one of my favorite books, THE TALISMAN, I've gotten many emails informing me of Neil Gaiman's MIRRORMASK, which is apparently very, very similar. I hope it's not TOO similar, if you know what I mean, as I'm a big fan of Gaiman's and am insanely curious as to what a Gaiman/Jim Henson Pictures mixture looks like.
4:00-5:00 Friday the 13th: Jasons Unmasked—Paramount Home Entertainment hosts a Friday the 13th panel discussion moderated by webmaster and author Peter Bracke (DVD File). Panelists include five of the Jasons: Kane Hodder, C. J. Graham, Richard Brooker, Warrington Gillette, and Ari Lehman, and two directors, Tom McLoughlin and John Carl Buechler, who will discuss their work on the films and the search for the elusive deleted F13 footage. Room 6CDEF
I grew up with the FRIDAY THE 13TH movies and even at one point sat down with one of my best friends at the time and watched all 9 FRIDAY films and all 7 NIGHTMARE films in a row, seperated only by a 6 hour nap between the two series. This sounds like a cool as hell panel, but I think I'm gonna be at MIRRORMASK.
5:00-6:00 Hellboy DVD—Hellboy writer/director Guillermo del Toro (Blade II, The Devil’s Backbone), creator Mike Mignola (Dark Horse Entertainment), DVD producer Javier Soto, and visual effects supervisor Blair Clark (Tippett Studios) participate in a panel discussion and presentation regarding the cutting-edge two-disc DVD set. Room 6CDEF
If you haven't seen Guillermo speak, YOU MUST SEE THIS PANEL. He's one of the most entertaining and geniune people I've met. I'm gonna try to watch the first half of this panel before the big NEW LINE panel that starts at 5:30pm, but I worry about getting craptastic seats. It'd be worth it, though. Guillermo's a one of a kind guy and is as frank and descriptive in his speaking as anyone you'll ever see speak.
5:30-7:30 New Line Cinema/New Line Home Entertainment: Blade: Trinity, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, Cellular, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Extended Edition DVD—New Line Cinema presents a "first look" at Blade: Trinity that includes footage from the upcoming film followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with cast members Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds as well as director David Goyer. Also making an appearance will be the stars of the upcoming film Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, John Cho and Kal Penn. New Line Home Entertainment will also present a first look at The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Special Extended DVD Edition. This hour-long presentation will debut select clips from the extended version of the film and will include a panel discussion featuring key cast and crew members who were involved in the creation of the extended DVD. Program elements will include Peter Jackson's scene selection process (his favorite moments, etc.) and stories from The Lord of the Rings co-producer Rick Porras and cast members David Wenham and Billy Boyd about the behind-the-scenes preparations necessary to deliver this extended version of the DVD. Beyond the making of the film, New Line Home Entertainment DVD executive Mike Mulvihill and DVD producer Michael Pellerin will discuss their collaboration with the cast and crew to create the extensive bonus features. All panel participants will recount their time spent being interviewed for the DVD bonus features and the experience of having additional cameras on-set during the entire filming process. Hall H<
This is a huge panel. I can't wait to see the 4 minute trailer for the ROTK: EE I've been hearing about. I was lucky enough to see a lot of the EE stuff shoot last summer when I was granted access to the ROTK set and you folks aren't ready for the movie that the EE will be. I love ROTK, but I believe ROTK will be a better movie... The meaning of "For Frodo" completely changes... Christopher Lee burning up the screen again with his awesome Saruman... I can't wait to see even a hint at that stuff! I'm curious about the BLADE: TRINITY stuff, too. Reynolds seems to be a really funny guy, so I'm sure he'll be fun to listen to.
6:00-7:00 Lloyd Kaufman, Max Allan Collins, and Bill Plympton—These three quirky indy filmmakers will engage in a free-wheeling discussion on just about anything! Lloyd Kaufman is celebrating 30 years of Troma, Max Allan Collins, in addition to his filmmaking (Mother) career, has graphic novels (Road to Perdition) and books (CSI adaptations) out now, and Bill Plympton will be showing his latest film, Hair High, tomorrow night right here at Comic-Con! Room 6CDEF
Troma, Plympton and Max Allan Collins all represented on one panel? Hell yeah... I'll be at the New Line thing, but this is cool, too.
SAT:
10:30-12:00 Writing Animated Feature Films—Shrek 2, Finding Nemo, and The Lion King are among the top grossing films ever. What does it take to create the script and story for an animated feature? How does it differ from writing a live-action film? Do you need to know how to draw? Does it help? And how does it differ from writing animation for television or direct-to-video films? What sorts of stories make good animated films? Some of the top practitioners of this craft will tell you the ins, outs, and secrets, including Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Treasure Planet), Dean DeBlois (Lilo & Stitch), Rita Hsaio (Mulan, Toy Story 2), and Terry Rossio (Shrek, Road to El Dorado). Moderated by Craig Miller (Pocket Dragon Adventures, Elfquest). Room 7B
11:00-12:00 Warner Home Video DVD Special Editions—WHV will present a special panel to unveil some of the studio's most in-demand DVD titles getting the deluxe Special Edition treatment this year. Showcased on stage will be actors Corey Haim and Corey Feldman for a special Q&A discussion about the upcoming Special Edition DVD release of the cult-favorite vampire movie The Lost Boys, which features over two hours of never-before-seen bonus materials. As an added bonus for Comic-Con guests, there will be an exciting DVD announcement for one of the greatest sci-fi trilogies of all time! Room 6AB
This is ungodly cool. The reunion of these two cult icons will surely shake the pillars of heaven. The Coreys!!! I'm so there, it's not even funny. (And "exciting DVD announcement for one of the greatest sci-fi trilogies of all time" at a WB Home Video panel... Hrmm... What could it be? Whoa...)
12:00-2:00 Star Wars Spectacular with Lucasfilm’s Steve Sansweet and guests—Steve Sansweet, head of fan relations at Lucasfilm, will share an exclusive Comic-Con look into the latest news in the Star Wars galaxy. With Episode III opening next May and the Star Wars original trilogy DVD scheduled for release in September, fans will not want to miss this special presentation. Sansweet has been known to throw in a surprise or two just for Comic-Con visitors. Don’t miss this event—you’ll be sorry if you do! Hall H
I've heard many rumors surrounding this panel... it doesn't sound exciting in the writing above, but from what I've heard the "Don't miss this event-you'll be sorry if you!" isn't kidding.
12:30-2:00 Rob Zombie and the cast of The Devil’s Rejects—House of 1000 Corpses was only the beginning! Now the carnage continues! Straight off the set of the sequel to his feature film directorial debut, Rob Zombie and the cast of The Devil's Rejects give you the very first sneak peek into the next dark chapter of this tale of terror. Join Rob Zombie and returning cast members Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Wayne Toth (special FX make-up), along with Ken Foree (original Dawn of the Dead) to hear all the gory details! Room 6CDEF
I didn't care much for the first film, but I love the cast Zombie has put together. I'll be at the Star Wars panel, but I'd do this one if I wasn't.
2:00-3:00 Dimension Films: Sin City—Comic-Con attendees will be treated to an exclusive panel on Sin City, a feature film based on the series of comic books and graphic novels created, written, and illustrated by Frank Miller. Sin City is a series of stories of vengeance and redemption set in the grimiest, toughest city in the world. The film will incorporate storylines from three of Miller’s graphic novels including Sin City, which launched the long-running, critically acclaimed series as well as That Yellow Bastard and The Big Fat Kill. Confirmed guests include Frank Miller, director Robert Rodriguez, and cast members Jessica Alba, Jamie King and Rosario Dawson. Hall H
Rodriguez gave me some info on what's happening at this panel. You won't want to miss it. Click here for the interview with the info!!!
3:00-4:00 Spotlight on Ray Bradbury—Catch up with the world's most acclaimed author of science fiction and fantasy (The Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451, Something Wicked This Way Comes), as Ray Bradbury honors us with an hour of his time and discusses his past, your present, and everyone's future. Bradbury was one of the guests at the first San Diego Comic-Con back in 1970. Mark Evanier will be asking the questions. Room 6AB
This isn't a film related thing, but Bradbury's a genius. Any chance to see him speak is worth mentioning.
3:00-4:30 Paramount: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Team America— This year’s Comic-Con audience will get a jaw-dropping first look at one of 2004's big surprises: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Jude Law makes his one and only convention appearance, alongside writer/director Kerry Conran (who will show a clip prepared exclusively for Comic-Con), producer Jon Avnet, and other stars and behind-the-scenes talent from the film. If you love sci-fi serials, giant robots, dogfights, villains bent on world domination, globe-spanning adventures, Max Fleischer's Superman cartoons, comics, pulps, noir, and classic fantasy art, you won’t want to miss this exclusive preview of this breathtaking film made by fans who love the same things. Plus, Trey Parker and Matt Stone will show a worldwide first glimpse at their new film, Team America. Hall H
I'm so psyched for both of these movies. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are brilliant at cutting through political bullshit (on both sides) and I've loved every singe film they've made (from back when I saw CANNIBAL: THE MUSICAL at SXSW right before SOUTH PARK hit). SKY CAPTAIN hits every geek chord I have. The "Underwater Battle" clip that was released really gets my juices flowing. Can't wait!
4:00-5:00 Spotlight on Forrest J. Ackerman—He’s back! Science fiction and fantasy icon Forrest J. Ackerman, who inspired a generation of filmmakers, writers, and comic artists with his Famous Monsters of Filmland, sits down for a catch-up chat with his many friends and fans. Forry has the distinction of having been the very first guest at a San Diego Comic-Con, back in 1970 (a one-day minicon in March to help raise funds for the August three-day “Golden State Comic-Con”). Room 1B
Forry is a class act and probably more responsible for the bundle of crazy that calls itself Harry Knowles than anybody else. A living legend.
4:30-5:30 Sony: The Grudge and Screen Gems: Resident Evil: Apocalypse—From producers Sam Raimi (the director of such classics as The Evil Dead and Darkman and the blockbusters Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2), Rob Tapert (The Gift, The Evil Dead), and Taka Ichise (Ringu and Dark Water) comes a terrifyingly real horror thriller, The Grudge, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and based on the Japanese hit JU-ON: The Grudge. The Grudge is the curse of one who dies in the grip of a powerful rage. Those who encounter this murderous supernatural curse die and a new one is born—passed like a virus in an endless, growing chain of horror. Star Sarah Michelle Gellar will be making her first-ever convention appearance, along with her co-star Jason Behr (Roswell). They’ll take your questions and show some scary clips. Plus, Sony/Screen Gems Screen Gems presents a special sneak peek of Resident Evil: Apocalypse with a special introduction by Milla Jovovich! Plus the finalists from the Resident Evil: Apocalypse poster contest will be unveiled—rom some 8,000 posters submitted, five finalists will be announced, but only one will become the official movie poster. Hall H
I'm nervous about THE GRUDGE... BUT I'm still very excited about it at the same time. RE: APOCALYPSE didn't do itself any favores with that new trailer, but I'm game for a cheesy horror flick and never invested too much into the original games. Should be an interesting panel flooded with Buffy fanatics desperate to get a glimpse of SMG.
5:30-7:00 20th Century Fox: Alien vs. Predator and Fantastic Four—Alien vs. Predator: It's our planet . . . and their war. Youll have the first look at scenes from the long-anticipated cinematic head-to-head of the iconic monsters. AVP stars Sanaa Lathan and Lance Henriksen and creature effects supervisors Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr. will be on hand to take your questions. Then: At long last, Fantastic Four is about to go into production next month. But before cameras begin rolling, 20th Century Fox is thrilled to bring the cast and filmmakers to Comic-Con to discuss Fox's epic adaptation of the World's Greatest Comic Magazine! Hall H
The closer we get to AvP's release, the more cautiously optimistic I get. I'm not Paul WS Anderson fan, by any stretch, and some of the stuff in the trailers doesn't lead me to believe he's gonna step up from his usual (the linebacker size Predators doing the "too-bulky" awkward running, for instance)... but I have hope that this one will be popcorn fun. It's really cool to see Lance Henriksen, so that'll be sweet. Also interesting to see how the comic fans interact with the FANTASTIC FOUR people. In the past, the attendees haven't been shy about being dickheads to those on panels, but I'm sure in the radiant glowing presence of Jessica Alba, the male geeks will at least hold their... tongues. hehe
10:00-11:30 Bill Plympton: Hair High—Special guest Bill Plympton brings his newest twisted vision to Comic-Con! See Hair High, a gothic ‘50s high school comedy about a love triangle that goes terribly wrong. Bill will be present to answer questions, too! Room 6AB
Plympton's films are glorious to watch. Stylistic and totally fucked up. God love 'im. It wouldn't be a bad idea to see his latest work of insane genius.
SUN:
11:00–11:40 Riding the Bullet—Writer/director Mick Garris, whose collaborations with legendary author Stephen King include the feature films Sleepwalkers and the upcoming Desperation, as well as the riveting TV adaptations of The Stand and The Shining, gives fans an exclusive glimpse at footage from their latest endeavor, Riding the Bullet. Mick, along with the film’s star Jonathan Jackson (Tuck Everlasting) and possible other guests, will introduce the footage and answer fans’ questions. Room 20
I'm curious to see what Garris has done with this King adaptation. The original eStory was good, but a little too much of a repeat of the same popular hitchhiking ghost story. I hear this is a film, not a TV adaptation, which makes me smile. I'd very much like to see how Garris at this point in his career adapts one of Kings stories to film instead of TV. I'm not a fan of his take on THE SHINING, but I do respect how he tried to remain totally true to the book. He also did a lot of good with THE STAND. Anything Stephen King has my attention!
11:40-1:00 Rogue Pictures: Seed of Chucky and Shaun of the Dead—The killer doll is back! The all-new Seed of Chucky is the fifth in the popular series of Chucky (Child's Play) horror comedies. Making his directorial debut is the franchise creator and writer of all five films, Don Mancini. The film introduces Glen (voiced by Lord of the Rings star Billy Boyd), the orphan doll offspring of the irrepressible devilish-doll-come-to-life Chucky (again voiced by series star Brad Dourif) and his equally twisted bride Tiffany (again voiced by Jennifer Tilly). Jennifer Tilly will appear to unveil an exclusive first look at the film and answer questions along with puppeteer Tony Gardner, who operates “Chucky.” Promotional giveaway: Limited-edition Seed of Chucky/Comic-Con 2004 T-shirts, Chucky DVD sets and other killer prizes! Plus: Possibly the funniest and yet most realistic romantic zombie horror/comedy ever made, Shaun of the Dead. Follow the bloody hysterical adventures of underachiever Shaun (Simon Pegg) and his best mate Ed (Nick Frost), as they cope with the Zombie Day invasion of North London and attempt to rescue Shaun's girlfriend, Liz (Kate Ashfield). Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright will be here in person. Promotional giveaway: Shaun of the Dead T-shirts and other cool prizes! Room 20
This is gonna be a helluva panel! Jennifer Tilly! Seed of Chucky looks to be a ball of fun and SHAUN OF THE DEAD rules the Earth. It's not often us fans of British comedy get to hear a bonafide genius like Simon Pegg speak. That Edgar Wright guy's OK, too. I'll be at this one like a bee on honey... like white on rice on a paper plate... you know what I mean.
1:00-2:00 Joss Whedon: Serenity—Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy, Angel and Firefly, will be on hand with surprise guests from the cast of Serenity. Get your first glimpse of Joss' eagerly awaited feature film adventure set in the Firefly universe. Currently filming, Serenity will be released by Universal next summer. Room 20
I'm not fan of Joss Whedon. I have nothing against the guy personally or even against his creations, but I never caught on with Buffy or any of its spinoffs. I know next to nothing about SERENITY, but I know a lot of people love this stuff, so above you know when the Joss-man addresses the masses.
That's it... It's a busy, busy year and I can't wait to jump into the thick of it. On top of all that, there are thousands cool boothes on the floor, a bunch of exclusive Comic-Con toy giveaways (check out the list over at Action-Figure.com), and an autograph area that will host the likes of Ernie Hudson ("I have seen shit that'd turn you white!"), Michael Madsen (yes, that Michael Madsen), Flash Gordon (Yep, Sam Jones) and The Beastmaster (Marc Singer) just to name a few.I do have some really sweet exclusives lined up already, so be sure to be checking back starting Thursday night for my coverage! 'Til then, this is Quint bidding you all a fond farewell and adieu!
