Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some goodies from the currently shooting Richard Linklater adaptation of Philip K. Dick's A SCANNER DARKLY. Looks like Dick's daughters visited the set here in Austin and posted about their experiences on their website, including pics with our first looks of Keanu, Robert Downey Jr., Winona Ryder and Woody Harrelson from the flick. I type this at 4:42am, less than an hour before call time for today's shooting on this very flick. How do I know that? Well, I am a sneaky seaman! Maybe the powers that be will decide to let me come by before they wrap and I can get some more dirt for you folks, but being that Warner Bros is making this flick, I ain't holdin' my breath for it! hehe Anyway, the below is really cool. Enjoy, squirts!!!
Hello,
I thought that you and your visitors would be interested in this
information about Rick Linklater's next film - A Scanner Darkly based
on Philip K. Dick's classic drug novel. Phil's daughters, Isa and
Laura visited the set in Austin, Texas and came back with this glowing
report which they posted on the Official PKD web site:
See Linklater and Keanu and the cute as hell Winona Ryder here!!!
Warner Bros. is going to send out a press release, probably next week but much of the information is available at the link above along with photos. This is shaping up to be a very interesting project and will probably be the most faithful adaptation of a PKD story.
Good luck and enjoy,
Jason
