'CBabbitt' definitely likes THE TERMINAL... definitely...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a very, very positive look at Spielberg's THE TERMINAL. I'm not supposed to have seen this, so I can't tell you that I pretty much agree with CBabbitt down below... Yeah... Definitely... Yeah... Wopner... Yeah... K-Mart sucks...

Sorry about that... don't know what came over me... So, I can't tell you that Hanks once again steps up to the plate and proves he's one of the best actors working or that Kumar (yes, that Kumar from Wes Anderson's flicks!) is just as naturally funny here as in THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS. I disagree a little about the gushing praise for Stanely Tucci, for I thought his character was the generic foil, but I since I haven't officially seen the movie, what do I know? hehe Enough of my ramblings. Here's CBabbitt... yeah... HOT WATER BURN BABY!!!

Hey Harry, Moriarty, Quint, everyone

I’m sure tons of reviews are pouring in from Friday’s sneak preview of Terminal. Here is my two cents...

I absolutely loved The Terminal!!! Another excellent Spielberg film, another great performance by Tom Hanks, another reason to be excited to go to the movies this summer. I’m sure everyone is well aware that this film is about a man stuck in an airport. The story is simple: Viktor Navarksi comes to America to fulfill a promise. During his flight, war breaks out in his country and his passport and Visa are revoked. Viktor arrives in JFK Airport speaking very little English only to discover he is “unacceptable”. He is stuck.

There is so much about this film that I love.

Tom Hanks: One of the greatest actors of all time. He can transform himself into any character imaginable. His Viktor is another great performance in his gallery. (For the record, his role as Michael Sullivan in Road to Perdition is his best work. Awesome film. Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law, “I’m glad it was you”, god that film is great) I cared about Viktor. He learns English, makes friends, falls in love,...it’s a wonderful comedic and dramatic performance. Excellent!

The Supporting Cast: Stanley Tucci is excellent as the “bad guy”. His relationship with Hanks is hilarious, sad, and annoying. Their chemistry is perfect and you can clearly see that these two actors are having a blast working with each other. Viktor’s friends. I really enjoyed the sub-plot involving his friend who runs the food service and the woman he loves. The janitor is a wonderful character. There is a sequence between him and Hanks towards the end of the film that is vintage Spielberg. I loved it. Oh yeah, Catherine Zeta Jones...she’s likeable as the airline stewardess. However, Hanks owns all of her scenes, even if she is crying. The “dinner” sequence is hilarious.

Production Design: Alex Mcdowell is awesome! Incredible work.

Cinematography: Janusz is a genius, as we all know.

This is a wonderful film by Steven Spielberg. He knows how to tell a story better than any filmmaker alive. I hope everyone enjoys this film as much as I did. If this seems a bit too positive...well, scream “PLANT” as usual...

If you use this,
