DODGEBALL pounds 'Monkeyboy' down... in a good way!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with nice, short review of the upcoming Ben Stiller/Vince Vaughn comedy DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY... This looks like a heap of fun to me... I loved the part in the trailer when Rip Torn was belting those knuckleheads with heavy tools... But what do I know? I'm one of the 4 people in this world that thought ZOOLANDER was hilarious. Oh well...

Hey Harry,

I haven't seen a review for Dodgeball up yet so I thought I'd give it a crack. If you are looking for the summers intellectual thriller, this isn't it. But, if you need a good laugh or an hour and a half of o thinking, this is your summer movie.

Ben Stiller does a great job as the rude and cruel owner of Globogym (White Goodman) where "you too can become a better person". While the ever skilled Vince Vaughn (Peter La Fluer) is the owner of the Average Joe gym, that happens to be right next door. They are apparently old friends who don't get along anymore even though Vince was kind enough to send a stripper to the opening of globogym (the fact that it was a man didn't go over well). Vince is also nine months late on paying his rent so the lovely Christine Taylor arrives to foreclose on the gym. To get the money needed to keep the gym, the average joes sign up for the ADAA (America Dodgeball Association of America) championship in Las Vegas. You can figure the rest out by yourself but fart humor and sex jokes are abound from here.

Scorsese wouldn't be proud but for a stupid fun time, this is your flick. If you also like to see actors making fun of themselves, there are cameos throughout the film. Most notably are Hank Azaria, David Hasselhoff, Chuck Norris, and Jason Bateman. I'm also slightly biased because the demi-god Stephen Root honors everyone with his role in this film as the workoutaholic with his mail-order bride. Not as good as Old School but better then Beaches, so it's time to shut your brain off and enjoy the movie.
