Here we have some images from one of the locations that Jonathon Demme used and shot at for his film BELOVED, due out October 16 here in the USA. It stars Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover, and I have heard that Demme feels it is his best work to date. And we did have a test screening review a few months back, find it by searching for BELOVED in a title. For additional casting info go here: IMDB listing-BELOVED
I don't know if this is that interesting, but I thought I'd send it anyway. This past winter, Jonathan Demme shot a good portion of his latest flick "Beloved" here in Philadelphia. It was mostly soundstage stuff, but there were a few scenes shot "on location." One of these scenes was shot in my neighborhood. For over a month, the crew built facades over working businesses and residences. It was quite cool to watch my street slowly being transformed into 19th Century Cincinatti! Anyway, here are three pictures from that shoot. These were taken literally right below my window. The horses from the second pic woke me up in the morning. These were taken in February, but I just got a scanner. Otherwise, you would have seen them earlier. Hope you can use them. See you later.
