THE MORBIDITY OF THE SOUL background

Here's some background on THE MORBIDITY OF THE SOUL...
I read with interest your report on The Morbidity of The Soul.
I can confirm much of what your scooper, 'Bob', said and hopefully add
a bit more info. Cast your mind back, if you will, to Silence of The
Lambs' Oscar triumph....
Just after Silence won the four main Oscars, it was announced
in one of the British papers ( The Daily Mail if I remember correctly,
and I usually do ;-) ) that Thomas Harris was to start work on the
third Lecter book, provisionally titled "The Morbidity of The Soul".
According to the report, the story concerns a copy cat killer
emulating his idol, Lecter. Meanwhile, the still free Lecter hears of
this and isn't best pleased and sets out to stop the copy cat, _and_
prove that he's a better killer.
Meanwhile, Clarice Starling and Jack Crawford set out to catch
them both.
Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Demme (director)
were all said to be returning for the sequel.
This was back in 90/91, and the book still hasn't been
released, so I guess the final version on page and screen could well
be different, as well as those taking part.
I would like to see _this_ story myself, but would settle for
just about anything with Lecter and Starling.
Great site, keep up the good work,
