KISS movie DETROIT ROCK CITY

Does this mean we will now have McFarlane toys of the teenagers on the way to a Kiss concert? I'm just curious. Personally I'd rather see the big KISS IN HELL movie, but hey, that's me and my Wayne Barlowe loving self just thinking out loud.
Just cruising the web and happened to find some interesting info on the
Kiss Asylum site. I don't know if you are a big Kiss fan or not, but I
don't see how you can resist those Psycho Circus figures, and if you
haven't read the comic, do yourself a favor I pick it up. It is what
Kiss is all about, with an X-files edge and wonderful artwork.
Anyway.....
It seems that New Line Cinema has purchased a script for a comedic film
entitled Detroit Rock City. According to the site, the movie will be a
"coming of age" story about four teenagers who are on thier way to a
Kiss show. Unfortunately, the show is sold out and they will do
anything to scam thier way in. Gene Simmons said "Detroit Rock City is
the quintessential coming-of-age story.... I think there will be a lot
of kids who will relate to the pilgrimage these teens are on. It's like
they are after the Holy Grail".
The film is to be directed by Adam (Small Soldiers, Mousehunt) Rifkin,
and should be out sometime Spring 99. They are reportedly casting the
movie now.
The producers are Gene Simmons, Barry Levine and Kathleen Haase.
The band will appear in the movie as themselves.
Well Harry, whatta ya think. I was hoping for a big screen Kiss Meets
the Phantom, but I guess Kiss on the big screen in a comedy is better
than no Kiss on the big screen at all.
just call me HANGMAN.....
