John Woo News concerning Mission Impossible 2, The Killer Remake and King's Ransom

Well here's the latest news on John Woo, one of the patron saints of cinema cool. After watching the progressive curve of HARD TARGET, BROKEN ARROW and FACE/OFF, where it went from "baaaaaaaaaaad" to "OK" to "Super Friggin' Cool", well I'm anticipating something that will leave my spine in the theater tingling with globs of Harry vibrating. God that's a gross image. Oh well, I hate using the backspace key, so read on...

I read recently in a Chinese newspaper that John Woo will begin production shortly with Tom Cruise on the next Mission Impossible with a budget of well over 100 mil. They also mentioned that Woo himself is most likely to direct a remake of The Killer, but after King's Ransom. He also said he is very interested in Phantom of the Opera, although there's less of a chance. This is probably all old news but it should be reliable since they did mention James Cameron being involved with Planet of the Apes back when T2 came out. Just call me "Biggie."
