James Earl Jones and Jim Varney in UNDERCOVER ANGEL... weird...

From my outpost in the northern world of Ottawa comes this report of a film shooting. So ofcourse we must turn our magnifying glass upon this cinematic crumb of knowledge. A film with James Earl Jones, Phyllis Diller and Jim Varney is enough to make me raise an eyebrow and go, "WHAT!?" It's just plain bizarro casting. The movie starts filming in mid-August btw. But here's the scoop...
Hi, Harry. Long time listener, first time caller here, all the way
from the Great White North that is Canada. A local film director, Bryan
Michael Stoller (whose previous credits include TURN THE BLADE and
RANDOM FACTOR), is directing a movie titled UNDERCOVER ANGEL, which is
to be a "SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE meets KRAMER VS KRAMER" type movie, in his
own words. It's a low budget movie, filming in and around the Ottawa
area. Yasmine plays a woman who lives next door to a single pulp
fiction writer with a six year old daughter (Emily Young), and she finds
that he writes children's stories to his kid, and gets them published
and the two get together. I have no idea who's playing the guy.
Annakin Skywalker (well, his voice anyway) has just a bit part, as do
Jim Varney (WHY?), Phyllis Diller (is she still alive?), and _maybe_ Jay
Leno. If you decide to post this on your site, you may call me "Captain
Of The Clouds."
