MUPPETS IN SPACE plotline

Well here ya go you Muppet lovers (Yeah I know you do, I can see ya) here's a bit of what MUPPETS IN SPACE is about. And all I can say is I'm dying to see this now, since my favorite muppet was always GONZO (followed by ANIMAL) and there's a part of me that dearly wants Gonzo to appear in CHICKEN RUN as a cross-over to end all crossovers. But here we go, WARNING THERE IS A MAJOR SPOILER HERE, PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I know this isn't the coolest film of the next 12 months but I thought I'd let you know the plot of the next Muppet film, "Muppets in Space".

I have a good friend who works deep within the Creature Shop here in the UK, and they let me in on the story. MIS (as opposed to LOS - which Hensons also did some of the effects for) is centred around my favourite muppet, Gonzo. Apparently, Gonzo was left on Earth by Aliens, and now that Gonzo is a star, the aliens have returned to take Gonzo back to their home planet.

It turns out that the aliens aren't really related to Gonzo, but they do look similar.

Obviously for a muppet film, the tone is very comical and the film intends to parody many famous Sci-Fi films, including this summer's Lost in Space and asteroid movies overloads, Armageddon and Deep Impact.

Hensons have been modelling Gonzo and the different aliens in CG, but I don't know if they plan to use these prototypes in any sequences from the film.

It's still at the script and pre-production stage - so don't expect anything untill long after May.
