Hey folks, Harry here... when I have more time - possibly sometime in the next two days - I'll write up a big piece on this film, but for now... let me say this film is WONDERFUL! Originally released in France last September under the name JEUX D'ENFANTS (which translates to CHILD'S PLAY), but was renamed by Paramount Classics, which is releasing it this summer under the name... LOVE ME IF YOU DARE! Essentially - in a nutshell - it is an evil twisted version of AMELIE or GIRL ON THE BRIDGE... two french quirky bizarre romantic modern films that just swept my heart away. This one does as well, but in more of a black comedy sort of way. I came home and instantly searched to find out more... IMDB has some reviews of it that are all over the place, but man... this thing was great. It's about two kids - a boy and a girl that grow up playing a wicked dare game - that they continue through their college years and into their mid-30's... Each progression of the game becomes... well more adult, dangerous, corrupt and wickedly delicious. It is down with the whimsy of the other two French Romantic Comedies I mention here... and I haven't been able to sleep tonight without letting you folks know a little something about it. Here's the trailer and the website. Enjoy...
