Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...
We ran a rumor here at AICN last week from a guy who was persistent in sending it not only to us, but to other rumor sites as well.
What rubbed me wrong about the initial report was the idea that Alan Moore gives a shit about any film based on his work. That’s just never been the case. He is able to completely remove himself from the films. He doesn’t read scripts. He doesn’t see the films. And he likes it that way.
Neil Gaiman ran an item on his website that set the record straight about the story, and I wanted to make sure to steer your attention to it. I haven’t read the script for the film, and I haven’t really read much about it, either. I’m very curious to see what Lauren Shuler-Donner and Francis Lawrence and that cast are up to, and I like the images I’ve seen so far. In the interest of keeping an open mind about the movie and correcting what seems to have been a very intentional smear by our previous “scooper,” follow the link below and scroll down to his entry on Thursday of last week:

Thanks, Jody, and everyone else who forwarded the link.
"Moriarty" out.
