Hey folks, Harry here... I know that DAWN OF THE DEAD is coming up, and I know that the taste for zombies is catching, but for my money this is the one I'm most dying to see. I've seen that teaser trailer (Now In Prime Quality) for a while now and being a fan of the brilliant Brit show SPACED, this can't get here soon enough. Just read the Shaun of the Dead review. I was also at the screening, am not a plant, and can confirm the film had my friend and I were in stitches throughout. Memorable scenes involved the synchronised battering of an undead pub landlord with pool cues to the the tune of "Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen complete with a lightshow and smoke (just see the film...), "It's A Knockout" with zombies, and.. well, lots and lots of funny stuff with zombies.
The film looked pretty finished, albeit a little grainy, and the credits had been tacked on low res. But, I can honestly say I haven't laughed at a film so hard since.. well, I cant remember seeing a funnier film. It is very British, and I would imagine some of the references will be lost on a US audience, and it does at times seem like an hour and a half version of Spaced, but all in all, I loved it.
