Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...
Let’s see how long this lasts before we crash and burn the server where this one’s been hiding...
Hi Harry,
I have been looking for the trailer quite a long since the movie opened at The Sundance Festival where it seemed to earn very positive buzz (anyone interested can check the reviews for the film at the www.imdb.com); the thing is after spotting the trailer at the production company´s official site this one was removed the same day. After some research job i spotted a site where a fan of the film got to download the trailer when it first came out and posted for everyone else at his site.
After watching the trailer i have to say i kind of understand why it was taken down. The first trailer is pretty much a raw version of the same , put togheter for as a selling tool for marketing purposes at festivals and conventions and what i think it happened is that after earning lot of attention at Sundance and being selected for the Berlinale which is going on right now they want to come up with something better. The trailer is like 3 minutes and something long, and more of it are pieces of long scenes put togheter with barely any soundtrack behind and when this one shows is not really the one which fits the more.In conclusion the trailer fails to come up with a nice mood.Anyway what i have seen is quite intriguing, Christian Bale is creepy as hell, you gotta see it to believe it, Jennifer Jason Leigh seems to give another appealing and strong performance and the look of the film is really really nice (love that shot in the amusement park) with! washed out colors and grey tones. after the effective session 9 this one is a movie to keep an eye on.
You can find the trailer to download in quicktime format at the bottom of the post at:
if you posted this call me mathesonlegends (sorry about the english i am spaniard)
It’s just over five minutes long, so whatever it is, it’s not a trailer. More like a promo reel, and a damned effective one at that. Christian Bale is shocking, just on a visual level, and it’s always a good thing when Jennifer Jason Leigh is onscreen. Can’t wait to see the film. Thanks for the heads-up, mathesonlegends, and your English was just fine.
"Moriarty" out.
