A few weeks back, I ran a link to one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen spring from the mind of the always-funny Patton Oswalt, a story called “Sweep The Leg And Wake The Gimp,” based on the career of William Zabka, the pre-eminent prick of ‘80s teen cinema.
Well, now it looks like I’ve got more William Zabka news for you. And it concerns his chances at this year’s Academy Awards...
i'm not sure how this flew under everyone's radar, but i just realized that something ridiculously amazing has the chance of happening on oscar night. billy zabka, better known as johnny in "the karate kid," chas in "back to school," and greg in "just one of the guys," has a chance to win an oscar. you read that right. HE CAN WIN A FUCKING OSCAR!!! don't believe me?

how amazing would that be? up until a few hours ago, i would have said that zabka was more likely to win an mtv career achievement award than an actual oscar. i'm not a voting member of the academy, but something needs to be done. pass word of this along and maybe we can get some people who do vote to see the light and vote for him. who cares how good his short film is? we don't need another holocaust movie winning. billy zabka needs to go up and win the oscar he has deserved for so long!
