The design of James Cameron's Long Languishing MARS Project!

Hey folks, Harry here... Well, Robogeek sent me a couple of links that made me go "Ewwww" and "Ahhhh" over the film that may never be, from the mind of James Cameron. For years now we've heard about the alleged Hard Science Fiction film that James Cameron was chipping away at.
After the spectacular failures of RED PLANET and MISSION TO MARS, the idea of a hard science fiction approach to the rust-colored dot in the night sky... Well, thus far it has seemed that the "reality" approach, has been frankly too dry, too staid and way too boring and pretentious. Oh and too B-movie lame. HOWEVER, that's like saying a film that takes place on the bottom of the ocean floor must automatically be as boringly inept as DEEP STAR SIX or LEVIATHAN instead of THE ABYSS.
If there is anyone that can harness the images that Spirit and Opportunity have fused into the collective conciousnesses of space loving geeks, regular humans and the gosh gee whiz awe of school children everywhere... It's James Cameron.
I mean, I don't know about you, but when Spirit started having problems, when it went incommunicado... I got real tense. And that's for a goddamn robot, imagine what it would be like with astronauts? Imagine how often you'd be hitting NASA's Mars Webpages? Imagine that sick feeling if communication went dead for just 36 hours. APOLLO 13 made, "HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM" the scariest 5 words of the English Language. Now imagine James Cameron's skill instead of Ron Howard's?
Here's a pair of links that will give you the most subtle clue into the Mars that James Cameron imagines. There is no hint of story, of dramatics... It's just the tech fetish at work. And if you love rovers powered by solar power, you'll love this stuff. If there's ever another HARD SCI-FI version of this dream, I hope it is his. Here ya go...
