My evil people laying around in Spain tell me that MEPHISTO'S BRIDGE (which I know next to nothing about, but it is directed by Guillermo del Toro) could possibly involve Gary Oldman or Ewan McGregor. You know Guillermo from his films CRONOS and MIMIC, and if the studio dweebs ever gain an ounce of vision, you will see Guillermo do LIST OF SEVEN which is so utterly cool and awesome that you wouldn't be able to sit still. But, studio people have problems understanding the appeal of a kick ass horror/adventure set in Victorian England. Schmucks, nevermind the fact that is a damn cool film project based on a book with a very strong cult following. Since mentioning LIST OF SEVEN on the page I have received over 45 emails about this project from people in England, East Coast, Mid America and West Coast. Oh yeah and a couple of phone calls. Dammit, when are we going to see Execs with the cajones to say, "Screw it" and make something a little different.
