Hey folks, Harry here... Every now and again there's true class being released into theaters. A film of genius - that defies the rigors of time for all times. That's MODERN TIMES. My personal favorite Chaplin is CITY LIGHTS, but MODERN TIMES is also genius. There always seems to be some sort of battle between those that prefer Chaplin to Keaton and Keaton to Chaplin... then there's those that go for Charlie Chase or Harold Lloyd or Fatty Arbuckle, but ya know what? They were all great. The timing of the gags are astonishing physical feats the likes of which only Jackie Chan and Stephen Chow attempt. Watch Chaplin's rollerskating scene in this one... Listen to his score he composed... And dare not to smile. There's genius in the comedians of celluloid nitrate, thank god it has been preserved. DO NOT MISS THIS if it plays near you!
