Hey folks, Harry here to welcome a new online 'brother' in Animated-News.Com... I was speaking with AICN's old resident Animator.. CARTUNA today, and he'll be bringing the top secret animated shorts he's been working on up on some desolate island afloat in the North Atlantic... like I said, he'll be bringing these cartoons to BNAT to play in-between features along with another animated short subject that'll make the attendees cringe - by an entirely different filmmaker (Surprise Guest). Well, Animated-News.com is bringing us images from what is seemingly going to possibly be the last 'traditional' 2D animated film from the Mouse House. We ran test screening looks at it back earlier this year... Personally, though I feel it'll end up otherwise, I'm praying that somehow this film manages to strike some chord with the public at large... just so that 2D Animation continues at a Theater near you, me and the rest of them. Here ya go...

As you may already know, Olivier Mouroux's wonderful news and rumors site "Animated-Movies.net" has shut its doors. Some of the best contributors and fans of that site have decided to pick up where Olivier left off and have created a new site called "Animated News" now online at ANIMATED-NEWS.COM! While it will be hard for the 10 of us to fill Olivier's shoes, we will do our best to continue the work he started.
And to celebrate the kick-off of this new site, we have some exciting news to report! One of our moderators has gotten a copy of the trailer for what may be Disney's last traditionally animated feature, "Home on the Range"! Set for release in April 2004, this PG rated film features the voice talents of Roseanne, Judi Dench, Jennifer Tilly, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Randy Quaid. "Home on the Range" looks like it absolutely re-captures the magic of the Disney films of the early 1990s, complete with Alan Menken’s music, irreverent comedy, and stunning, 1950s styled animation.
