Terry Gilliam returning to GOOD OMENS'

Hey folks, Harry here... Well, it's too early to get my hopes up... I love Terry Gilliam, but everytime I get my hopes up for one of his projects, it's as if that fucking Dorothy drops a house on it and it's toes curl up beneath the floorboards ya know? However, Pratchett seems to be thinking that Gilliam is gonna be doing this after he's done with BROTHERS GRIMM!

Hello there,

My Dad went to a Terry Pratchett book signing (for Monsterous Regiment) last week in Pasadena. He spoke for over and hour and was very funny. A member of the audience asked him about movie rights for his books. He said that he retains most of them now because lots of people approach him for them, say they have the money to do it but nothing ever happens. He then mentioned the often stalled Good Omens project.

(For those who don't know Good Omens is about the Armaggedon. The Antichrist is reincarnated as a newborn baby boy which is switched at birth. For 11 years the boy is raised normally. A demon and an angel (Crowley and Aziraphale) who are quite happy on earth realise they have to find the Antichrist in order to stop the end of the world and continue their time on earth......it's not fair to summarise it, please read the book!)

It has been an off again/on again project for the last few years. Anyway, during the coversation about film rights, Terry Pratchett hinted that Terry Gilliam will be returning to the project after finishing up with the Brothers Grimm.

I'll try to ask him more when he does a booksigning tour of the UK in the next 2 weeks.

Thanks

Please call me paranoid-bunny
