I'm sure you are all interested in Emmerich and Devlin's GODZILLA... wellllllllllllllllll, I'm already looking ahead to their next project, FANTASTIC VOYAGE. Mrs. Furry Pants let me in on some cool stuff about the project. First off the plot line over at Coming Attractions, which we have all read by now is FALSE. That may have been it at one time, but now it's different.
You know our fascination with Presidents? President fights terrorists on Air Force One? Single President dates Annette Bening? Jack Nicholson as President? You know, President's are taking over our films' subject matter. It's no wonder since we constantly hear about the President in the media. Well, now we will get to see what it's like to be inside the President's shoes... In fact, not only his shoes but his skin. Not only that but his circulatory system. And his brain, and areas I don't even want to know about.
Basically the film takes place in 2014 I believe, when the Prez has a problem (taint a good problem). Then a team of scientists and a team of SEALS are sent in. In two ships, the Proteus and the Nautilus. And apparently there is a set up for a Raquel Welch cameo!!! I'll let yall know more when it's safe, but suffice to say this is a 20th Century Fox production, and Emmerich and Devlin are wanting to shoot in wide wide screen, and at one point wanted to shoot inside a real live human body.
Once again I volunteer to be the soundstage. I want to be the set for Fantastic Voyage. Just imagine. I'm like the Leavesden of Human Sets. The crane shots in my stomach area would be immense, and then there is all that interesting choelesteral in my blood stream. You know you want to have that in there. And then there is my geek brain, which would be twitching in excitement to have yall in there shooting. Think it over guys!!! :)
I can't wait for this project to take off. Of course it won't even begin to begin till Godzilla is in theaters. Personally I can't wait for the next update from Mrs. Furry Pants, one question tho... Is it... Nawwwwww skip it, I'll save it for email.
