TV Guide says:
Debut: Viewers are invited to predict the results of off-beat competitions and stunts in this opener involving Kelsey Grammer, Simon Cowell and Lou Ferrigno.
The Hollywood Reporter says:
It is at once sublimely amusing and unfathomably lame, depending on the stunt or gag being played out. But a couple of the running bits are undeniable gems -- making for some genuine summertime fun. … By far, the most inspired bits are a couple that run across each of the first two installments: Lady One Question, in which an interviewer asks such celebs as Simon Cowell and Antonio Banderas a single question and then simply stares at them holding a microphone to determine how many seconds it will take each to flee, and Mr. Shake Hands Man, where a questioner sees how long he can shake hands with celebrities (in this case Kelsey Grammer and Bill Murray) before they will pull away. … To be sure, a little bit of this bizarreness goes a long way. Yet there is an addictive element to the enterprise that can't be easily explained.
USA Today says:
… good-hearted nonsense. … Most of the games are self-explanatory stunts, like The Old Lady Wheelchair Chicken Challenge. But there are some clever oddities, like Mr. Shake Hands Man, who shakes celebrities' hands until they break away, or Lady One Question, who asks celebrities a question and then stares at them in silence. Sunday's first question goes to Simon Cowell, whose out-of-character effort not to be rude is actually very funny.
