Snot detector Spengler became cool spy guy for a bit today to tell us about how YOU people in the BOSTON area can be in a movie with John Travolta. Perhaps you'll even get a chance to hear him utter the words, "Ain't It Cool"!!! Now I have no idea what movie this is, probably because my brain is in the petry dish in the other room, but read on and go. This is your chance to become part of the big screen!!!
They will be filming a movie sometime soon here in Boston. If you want to try to get in, bring a picture of yourself, and go to the Avalon (a rock club in Boston) between 10-1 and 2-5 on this Saturday and Sunday. They are looking for pretty much anyone 10 years and up. The casting director then went on with some info about the film. John Travolta is the star, and it is based on a real-life court case where citizens sued a company for dumping toxic waste in the suburbs. They will be shooting scenes at the Fenway ballpark, as well as on the Boston Common. He described this scene as Travolta being so happy over how the case is going, he starts dancing to a street-performer's music. There is also another scene where some kids are playing with fireworks near a stream. It turns out that the water is so polluted by the dumping that it catches fire! They are looking for people to play the kids' roles too... They will need thousands of people as extras, especially for the baseball park shooting. They even need a baseball team to act as the Red Sox! I probably won't be around this weekend to try out, but hopefully someone can, and get even more info.
