Annnnnnnd here's what happened today...

The other week I wrote about KEN PARK being refused classification in Australia. As a result, Sydney Film Festival had to pull it from their schedule, as a public screening of a non-classified film is illegal.

Two of the most vocal opponents of this were David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz -- the two hosts of local review program THE MOVIE SHOW. Well, Margaret Pomeranz has just been busted for an illegal screening of the movie in a local hall.

There aren't a whole lot of details at the moment, but it seems they used an imported DVD and let word-of-mouth spread... only thing is, it spread to the police station.

Cameras were there to catch the action as the police cut the power, tried to get the DVD, realised they couldn't get it out with the power off, then switched it back on again and seized the disc.

This is a disgusting example of fascist censorship. I'll keep you posted with the situation's development.
