Hey folks, Harry here... Max Caddyshack so the evil Eli Roth's CABIN FEVER at some advance preview in the good ol UK, and it really seemed to make him go goofy for the movie. Though I really can't imagine anyone comparing this to BLAIR WITCH PROJECT - this is a serious and fun horror film, that is very much a FILM that looks like a movie, not the BLAIR WITCH camera work or naturalism. Which is a good thing, cuz here you get gore, tits and more gore. Did I mention that Gore was in this film? Cuz there is! Luckily LION'S GATE hasn't touched a frame of this sucker cuz they know what a winner they have here, so that version that's played the festivals... well it's the one that will be in your theaters later this year! YIPPEE! All Praise Lion's Gate!!!!

Thanks for posting my review of Catch Me If You Can late last year. Last night I went to preview of Cabin Fever (it isn't due out in the UK till October) and was pleasantly surprised.
This film is grim, and I mean real (Ben) grim. KNB make-up effects must have had a field day working on this film. There is so much gore, blood and rotting flesh - it would make George Romero and Sam Raimi proud.
The premise is simple - 5 teenagers hire a cabin in the woods, contract rotting flesh disease and mayhem ensues. I know Eli Roth the director has spent many years working for David Lynch and this has definitely rubbed off. Towns folk are eccentric, certain scenes are very surreal and the humour is very dark and funny. For instance - check out the slo-mo kung-fu by a redneck mad boy.
I though this film was more entertaining than the vastly over-rated Blair Witch Project, which many will compare this film to. It also echoes Deliverance, Twin Peaks, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Day of the Dead.
Given the right push, this film should do well - Eli Roth certainly showing (tongue in-cheek) he can pull the right strings with this type of movie.
P.S. The actress who plays Marcy (Cerina Vincent) has 2 sex scenes that show off her lovely breasts - so all in all something for all horror geeks.
