Ants is going to be an incredible hit for DREAMWORKS. I just got finished reading the script and wow. Woody Allen will kick rear segments with his performance as "Z" the individual ant fighting against his lot in a totalitarian life. Now I haven't read "A Bug's Life" yet, but it definately has potentially crippling competition here. Not only is there plenty of eye candy, but fantastic Woody Allen dialogue that had me hooked from PAGE ONE.
This is definately for adults as well as kids, and has some scenes of possibly HORRIFIC TERROR, and scenes of hilarity. If Dreamworks' other animated properties even come close to approximating the coolness of this project, then watch out. I mean would Disney have the will to have ants drinking beer from the anus' of beer gorged aphids? Or how about Ants being melted by the acid spewing blind termites, or decapitations? How about the conspiracies of the Military Industrial Complex upon the Working Class?
Let me be the first to say it, "Z FOR PRESIDENT" Best animated character potential I've seen in a long long time. Oh yeah and not a lot of songs. I would LOVE to see what these ants look like in comparison to the Pixar fellas!!! Folks more on this project soon.
