Peter Parker sighted in Chinatown Cab! THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!

Harry here, and ol Gittes here was lucky to get out of the situation without getting his nostril severed... A description of the new production logo and the knowledge that Peter Parker is in a CAB!!! Wow, we're really scooping the world here... Though I have to say, I do think it is cool that when Kublakhan, my 2 1/2 year old nephew, sees a picture of Tobey Maguire... He says, "PARKER" Hell, he even wanted to watch PLEASANTVILLE the other day, and watched it all, just because he saw it as a PARKER adventure story... Just wait till I show him POINT BLANK...

New NYC Spidey Sighting - Chinatown

I went to dinner with friends tonight in Chinatown, NYC. As we were approaching the restaurant, there was some film equipment, but in such a state that we couldn't quite tell if the location was being struck or set up. "Ehh," I shrugged, "It's probably NYPD Blue or something." So we went in and had dinner. As we came out, the crew had been busy little beavers because now there was no doubt that a film was being shot right there and it was something major. As one of my friends asked a crew member what was shooting and he replied, "Spider-Man 2" I noticed the crew chairs set up, whiche were a dead giveaway. There was one for Raimi and Maguire, plus a few other names I didn't recognize. The new logo, at least on the chairs, was of two spiders, just like the Spidey insignia, mirror images of each other. One was descending from a string from the top of the chair, the other ascending from the bottom, with the two meeting in the middle. As we walked down the block we passed a taxi! cab that was being prepped for filming. Inside the cab was Maguire (in the backseat) with someone next to him that I didn't recognize. It wasn't Kirsten Dunst or James Franco. It might not even have been another actor, maybe it was his manager for all I know. But anyway, the hook to all this is the location - Chinatown. Everything up to this point has been Columbia, so here's a new bit of flavor for the rumor mill. The street had been decked out in a Hollywood approximation of what Chinatown should look like - lamps, dragons, etc.

If you guys use this, considering the locale, call me Jerk Gittes.

Better scene description... PLUS... a question about the logo?

Hey Harry. I returned from Chinatown (Pell and Dowyer Street) where SPIDER MAN 2 was being shot (No "AMAZING" in the title as of yet).

They scene consisted of Parker [Tobey] and MJ [Kirstin] in a cab talking, and then J Jonah's son, MJ's new beau comes into the scene with his friends. THat's about it really.

It was weird seeing Raimi in a big orange raincoat (he had his trademark Hitchcock suit underneath, though).

Also to note, if I am not mistaken the logo on the back of the stars and crews chairs had the trademark spider (vertically) touching what i think is a silouhette of doc ock (with his tentacles, arms and legs reaching up to touch the spider's legs).
