Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.
Joe Dante fans know what I’m talking about. That jones to see something from the guy... ANYTHING. I have to settle for bumping into him at the Egyptian Theater all the time, where you can get him into a great conversation about film noir or print quality if you catch him in the right mood. I’m cautiously optimistic about his LOONEY TUNES film for this Christmas, since very few people have as innate a cartoon sensibility as Dante.
In the meantime, his “other” new film has a trailer that’s finally landed online, and you can get a look at it thanks to the e-mail I got yesterday:
Hey --
Just thought you'd be interested to know that the trailer for Joe Dante's "Haunted Lighthouse" theme park attraction for Busch Gardens, starring Christopher Lloyd & Lea Thompson is now online at the official site:
Stephen Clark, Webmaster/Editor
BTTF.com — Back to the Future™...The Website
If you’re curious about the film, the Busch Gardens website describes it this way: “This 4-D adventure film based upon the original story written by R.L. Stine, the popular author of ‘Goosebumps’ and ‘Nightmare Room’ children's horror books, opens at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in March 2003. R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse stars veteran actors Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson in a spellbinding story that goes beyond traditional movie releases. The immersive experience combines state-of-the-art visual effects with multi-sensory surprises.”
Thanks for the heads-up, Stephen.
"Moriarty" out.
