Hey folks, Harry here... If you never saw GINGER SNAPS, it was probably those 'tards at BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO's fault. You see, those bastards bought the U.S. distribution rights, then released it as a Blockbuster Exclusive, so in the United States you would have to soil yourself by entering that ultimate domain of evil... No, not Moriarty's bedroom, but a BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO store. Dooming the film from ever getting to play a theater near you.

Now here's the big question. We've all been reading and hearing about Blockbuster's miserable financial news as of recent. My thought is this... If they had the brains to pick up a film like this, why not get into the distribution game and start making some theatrical bucks from these quality films they pick up. Hell, they could even piggy back the film advertising on their existing Video advertising budget. Thus guaranteeing a high exposure and telling their audience what they have in a theater as well as what you can take home. Then, they could attach a "Blockbuster Trailer" on their film release advertising the latest line-up of films that Blockbuster has for audiences. But this would at least get theatrical distribution for films like this one... or a film like BUBBA HO-TEP which they could sell the hell out of in theaters and out. Oh well, BLOCKBUSTER is too conservative for that sort of deal, thus they'll die a most earned financial death before too long!

Meanwhile, the makers of GINGER SNAPS have moved on with the success of that first film to follow up with two extensions of the series... both of which have better budgets and in some ways... some advantages over the original. For one, they were able to hire KNB, that super cool make-up house that did such deliriously wonderful work on Eli Roth's CABIN FEVER and Rodriguez's FROM DUSK TIL DAWN. Well this is the first shot I've seen of the "new" werewolf look... I'm hoping to get a better look for you guys soon, here ya go!!!
