Update on UNDEAD and a theater near you! News on France and Japan!

Hey folks, Harry here... I've been getting all sorts of emails from folks wanting to know how and when they'll be able to see UNDEAD. I wrote to the Spierig Brothers to see what the latest is.

Right now, the film has been picked up for Australian and New Zealand distribution by IMAGINE ENTERTAINMENT (no, not Ron Howard's company!) In addition, the film has been picked up for release in 16 other countries so far, with the biggest being Japan and France. From what I hear, the Japanese are most excited to get the film out into theaters and Peter Spierig says that they, "will probably be the first to get it into cinemas."

As for a North American or British distribution deal, that hasn't happened yet. Hopefully the screenings this coming week in Los Angeles will catch the eye of a progressive and intelligent film distributor that will recognize the asskicking potential the film has to please Genre fans. I just hope that the company with the sense to pick it up, also has the sense not to fuck it up with changes. The score is absolutely perfect for this quirky fun flick, and like I said in my review, the accents are strong... but only add to the manic flavor of the film.

Folks, never fear, I'm all over this film and will definitely let you know when and if this film gets distribution, and when you can expect it at a theater near you. It has been 11 years since Peter Jackson's BRAINDEAD (aka DEAD ALIVE in the States) kicked ass in the Zombie arena... Since then an entire generation of Zombie 'tards have grown up with subpar Zombie films like the dungheap that was RESIDENT EVIL being passed along as Zombie fare... It's time to remind general audiences of how cool Zombies are... and UNDEAD is definitely the right step to help bring this new generation around!
