Set report from THE 13TH GRADE starring Screech!

Hey folks, Harry here - Screech playing a Leonardo DiCaprio style Teen heartthrob makes me laugh for some reason... I'm not even really sure why... It just tickles me. In all likelihood we'll probably end up hating this, but ya never know... might be fun...

Dear Harry, Moriarty, Father Geek, Dasher, Prancer, Cupid....

HI, long time reader and I never thought I'd ever have anything to contribute as I live in DELAWARE, and hardly anything ever happens here. However I got to be an extra in a film the other day called THE 13th GRADE starring none other than SAMUEL "SCREECH" POWERS aka DUSTIN DIAMOND. There were a few others there also was an actor named TIM, I didn't get his last name, but he'd been in a few other films and was on a soap for a while.

The film THE 13th GRADE was supposed to be sort of a spoof on HOLLYWOOD, as Screech played a LEO DICAPRIO teen heartthrob type, who at the point of his career, realizes what an idiot he is, and heads back to high school, in DELAWARE, no less. Apparently the school is the only place that will have a 26 year old kid back to high school. But it's not that easy, this high school is filled with a bunch of weirdos and is led by MISTER WONDERFUL, played by Mike McGrath, who was this quirky teacher, who also plays a mentor of sorts to him. That's what I got from the movie apparently, but I was only in a few of the classroom scenes.

I did get the chance to talk to Dustin Diamond, Tim, Mike and the director JJ Garvine and all of them were pretty nice guys, and enjoyed such a laid back atmosphere. I also heard that Captain Lou Albano was supposed to do a cameo, but he was snowed in somewhere. The movie is independently financed by the writer named JJ Garvine, but should be out around May or June. It's sounds really quirky like Fast Times at Ridgemont High meets Billy Madison, either way it seemed really funny, and should be out in a few months.

Anyway I just thought it was neat that these people came to this little state to film this movie, which I think is the only movie to be filmed here since DEAD POETS SOCIETY, so it's actually a pretty big step for such a little place like DELAWARE. So anyway do what you will with this set report, I had fun and just wanted to share it with all of you, feel free to bash me all you like.

all the best from the First State,

The Delaware Blue Hen
