We heard from one of our friends in North Carolina that Paramount is locking up studio space out there for what they’re calling the first in a “Jim Carrey trilogy.” And someone else just e-mailed us something that has to be treated as extreme rumor. If you’re a fan of the books, then maybe these names make sense to you...

And what does it mean that Johnny Depp might be playing Lemony Snicket himself? Isn’t Snicket the author of the books? And, yes, I know it’s a pseudonym. But is Snicket also a character in the books?
