Pair of cool X2 Pics!!! Very Cool!!!

Hey folks, Harry here... these came out of EMPIRE and damn that second one of Kelly Hu looks cool as hell! Dying for the next trailer... and the next Hulk trailer.... And the next look at Daredevil.... and the First Amazing Spider-Man trailer... and the film adaptation of PREZ!!!! Yeah! That'd rule! Here ya go....

Hey Harry!

first time for me to write to you here from 'Sunny' old England :-) but just thought i'd send you these pics i found in Empire magazine which i got today.

One notable pic is of Kelly Hu as Yuriko Oyama (or better known as Lady Deathstrike) with her razor sharp adamantium claws ;-)

The preview (page 32 of the magazine) goes through the basic plot outline which consists of General William Stryker (played by Brian Cox) who is planning to eradicate all mutants (who aren't these days?) in which the threat 'forces' the X-Men to team up with Magneto.

Quote from the article "Empire's tour of the studio includes a holding cell for younger X-Men, complete with scratch marks on the walls, a snowbound entrance to an underground facility and a series of tunnels. But it's the experimentation room that catches the eye. Dirty, white and dominated by an operating table, this is the hub of the top-secret Weapon X programme - hinted at in X1 - that gave Wolverine his unbreakable skeleton. It's also the setting for a confrontation between Wolverine and Stryker's number two, Yuriko Oyama (Kelly Hu). An X-Ray of her clawed hand suggests her own Weapon X past, not that she is prepared to admit to it."

they also state that "X2 is much darker. 'You see Wolverine's beserker rage,' admits Jackman. 'Fans said to me ''We saw you in the first movie, but you didn't cut sick enough.'' so there's a bodycount. And it gets pretty ugly.""

The article also mentions about the storyline splitting the X-Men into different groups while the love triangle with Wolverine, Jean Grey and Cyclops develops.

Also mentioned is a bit about Pyro (Aaron Stanford) who WILL fall in with Magneto, an appearance by Collosus (Daniel Cudmore), and also cameos by Beast and Gambit, quote "The two fanboy faves might appear in a sequence showing Cerebro's effects on the mutant world. If time allows, we'll see Dr. Hank McCoy mutate into the blue, agile, furry beast, while shady thief Gambit will be seen in a New Orleans bar, exploding a pack of cards into flames. Also expect background cameos from a hoard of popular mutants, including the invulnerable Cannonball and solar energy-wielding Sunspot."

The only thing that's not mentioned in the article is if we get to (hopefully, finger's crossed) see Iceman in action... :-) although one thing you can see from the photos is Cyclops in full, Matrix-style costume... ;-)

And finally, there's mention in the DVDs section about a 2-Disc Special Edition of the first X-Men movie being released in February, which is to include loads more documentaries, a fly-on-the-wall documetary/footage, Hugh Jackman's ORIGINAL FIRST screen test (not the one on the current disc), a commentary by Bryan Singer, more deleted scenes, multi-angle scenes, trailers, X2 teaser, and behind-the-scenes X2 sneak peaks...
