Donny Osmond the Vampirate reviews THE HOT CHICK!

Hey folks, Harry here... Well, um... Yeah we got a review of... Um... THE HOT CHICK - this is the movie that Mr Beaks wakes up in a cold sweat each night dreaming of with a puddle in the pillow and needing a long glass of water. My curiousity about Donny Osmond's insanity crosses over to the point of wondering... is SPIDER-MAN 2 really shooting in Chicago currently? I mean, they don't have a script and the film isn't supposed to begin shooting till like March or something right? Quint left Austin today to head to that Altman set, so we'll be getting his report soon. Here ya go...

Hey Harry,

I live in good old Chi-town, great place to be right now. They are shooting Spider-man 2 currently here, the new Altman flick is around as well, and a Chevy Chase movie will be coming around soon. I spent all weekend on the set of Spider-man, but I'll let my friend PopMart tell you about that. I've got something even more important to write about! And I only say that in a half sarcastic manner.

I got a chance to catch an advance screening of Rob Schneider's new movie The Hot Chick. Now, it was written and directed by the same schmo who did The Animal, and you can tell. The story is just plain stupid. The smart attractive High School cheerleader steals a pair of magical earrings, and they transform her into Rob Schneider. Thats pretty much it. But seriously, do you go to a Happy Madison production for the hyper-intelligent plotlines? Of course you do, but you also go to hear dick and fart jokes. And this movie delivers. Alot of the jokes you have heard before, in other switching gender flicks and such, but this movie is in fact funny. There is alot to like actually, including Adam Sandler's cameo as a stoner.

Besides Schneider and Matt Lawrence as his boyfriend, the rest of the cast was filled with attractive women. Anna Ferris looks insatiable as a blonde and she does a good job as the best friend, definetly showing she is better than her material in Scary Movie 2.

The Animal sucked. It was a terrible script idea, but so is this. The difference is the way Hot Chick expands on the One Joke Format. You people who like high class comedy arent going to like Hot Chick, but for those of us who can recite what food products are put on a pedastal in every Adam Sandler film, this movie is a good time. Thats what it boils down to; It ain't art, but its a good time.
