Mecha-Godzilla wrote in with some info on the STARBLAZERS film. You know how in the original series the mission to Iskandar was to last one year, or Earth was doomed? Well that has been changed for the sake of time compression and the length of the Disney Film. So what sort of gobbleygook is gonna get our heroes there and back again? Well, a light speed propulsion aka Wave Motion Engine to get them there and back a lot quicker. The story is really about Derek and the remnants of the Star Force saving the Earth, not so much the journey to and from Iskandar (although there is a great set piece on the Thrid planet halfway to Iskandar!)
