I got 42,332 e-mails telling me to go look at the USA TODAY article where they just published the first photo of Mike Myers in costume as The Cat In The Hat. Bo Welch is making his directorial debut on this film, a mere two years after he almost made his directorial debut on SPROCKETS.
Is it just me or does Mike Myers seem to have the EXACT same face as Rick Baker’s Grinch, only a different color? It’s disconcerting. The Grinch should be freaky and scary, but The Cat In The Hat looks like he’s debating whether or not to eat Dakota Fanning.
I thank you for your restraint in only sending me 21,553 e-mails about the CATCH ME IF YOU CAN teaser poster that those super-cool cats over at Latino Review.com managed to put up online yesterday.
I like this poster a hell of a lot, and I think anything that shatters the stereotype of putting giant Photoshopped head shots on a poster is a good thing, especially when it conveys the kind of energy this one-sheet does.
