Harry here in Sitges, getting ready to check out DARKNESS, when this email came in... Couldn't help but put it up for discussion. Was this just a throwaway comment, or is Michael Chabon's page 1ing of the SPIDER-MAN 2 script going to be introducing Gwen Stacy... and without the Green Goblin being alive... What whould her future be like? Hmmm would Doc Ock do her in? Would she still be labelled for death? Or would that fall upon the red lockes of MJ? Hmmmm, interesting things to discuss eh?
Hey Harry,
Longtime/Firstime - Don't know how big a deal this is. Maybe this is old news already, but...I was a book signing for Michael Chabon and his new book "Summerland" last night. During Q&A he talked about how excited he is to have the chance to write Spiderman 2. He mentioned how great his job was, basically re-reading old Spiderman from his youth. Then he said, "especially lots of Gwen Stacy/Death of Gwen Stacy stories".
That would be great story to tell. Well, whatever Chabon goes with is fine with me.
Anyway, sign me
Ted Kord
