Hey folks... Harry here... My god, what is up with the AICN folks... We've all got a severe case of the Travel Virus. I mean Moriarty, Quint... The only one that doesn't seem to be doing any traveling is me... ... ....it really must be great to be Quint! So unfair to be Harry. Boo Hoo... Waah Waah. I mean look, he'll probably end up doing something cool with some place cool in that whole Marin County world... Well... BAH! Heheheh... He'll be covering this 25th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival.... I'll be in Sitges, Spain covering their film festival... and Massawyrm... well he'll do something. Meanwhile Moriarty says he's going to continue updating... at least that's what his terse email said to me, so beware, we may have some news problems over the next 2 weeks - but hopefully everything will be smooth as can be.
Ahoy, squirts. Quint here... fresh from a brush with skanky crack-whores on my 5 day LA adventure... You'd think that'd be enough for one week, but not for this seaman. I am now heading to San Rafael, California... In Marin County (hint-hint to you readers who might work at certain computer animation companies or maybe at a RANCH of some significance) to cover the 25th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival, a rather cool sounding fest.
I'll be seeing some of the more talked about festival films of recent, including (but not limited to) BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE, FEMME FATALE, LOST IN LA MANCHA and seeing such cool retrospective screenings as ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, with Milos Forman present to discuss that brilliant film and STRICTLY BALLROOM, with none other than Baz Luhrmann in attendance. There are other surprises to be sure.
I just wanted to give a heads up to all site readers out in the Bay Area. The world's crustiest seaman is headed your way. I'll be staying at the Creekside B&B (phone 415-389-9552) under the goofiest cover name I could come up with: Eric Vespe. A name as goofy as that should be easy to remember. Well, I'm dying to see the Love Lounge with my own eyes and any company that has a monkey on the premises 24/7 is cool with me... Or if George wants to invite me over to the Ranch and interrogate me about all the prequel leaks... I volunteer, as long as I get to play with some Star Wars props... Yeah, like that'd ever happen.
