TORONTO: LionsGate Picks Up CABIN FEVER For A Wide Release!

Hey folks, Harry here... I may not be in Toronto, but I have a finger on what's going on there. Just got the word that LIONSGATE has picked up the rights to first time filmmaker, Eli Roth's CABIN FEVER for a nationwide release next year. The folks at LionsGate are very enthusiastic about the film, reportedly paying the most they have for any pick-up film yet, and plan on a wide release in around 1000 to 1200 theaters at the latest around October 2003, but possibly next summer.

What is CABIN FEVER? Expect reviews to begin flooding online soon, the first PUBLIC screening occurred a short while ago, with the first question coming from a gal that said, "I don't have a question, but that movie really reminds me of EVIL DEAD 2 and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, thank you!" The folks I know that have seen it feel it is an absolutely balls deep horror flick in that tradition. I'm dying to see the film. Just shakingly excited for this one.

The storyline has to do with FLESH EATING VIRUS, Teenagers in a Cabin, Nudity, Gore and really bad things that we Horror fans love to see happen. So celebrate, it got picked up, which means the rest of us will get to see it!
