Nick Nunziata and I had a pretty cool adventure over the weekend, and he’s beaten me to the punch with a great accounting of it.
If you don’t know who Nick is, shame on you. CHUD.Com is a darn good site that seems to have a great community of folks contributing to the site and the message boards. Nick was in town for all sorts of reasons, but on Saturday morning, I drove over to pick him up from the Orchid Hotel in Hollywood, heading out to Sherman Oaks. He dropped me a quick e-mail last night:

Basically, we got a peek at HELLBOY as it exists right now, and the quick version of the report is this: HELLBOY rules. I feel funny writing about it because of my own work with Revolution Studios, but Nick isn’t exaggerating. If you love H.P. Lovecraft or Guillermo Del Toro or Mike Mignola or classic monsters movies or any combination of the above, prepare to lose your mind when you see what Gordo’s cooking up for you.
And if he doesn’t get to make his version of CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON somewhere down the line, we are all poorer for the loss. Trust me.
