Boy isn't he HANDSOME!!!! Gosh, me oh my! Here is Captain Bosche (aka George Clooney). Ahhh, nice clean uniform, that's likely to change. This fight on Guadalcanal was an insane battle over a speck in the Pacific.
This is Sean Penn looking well like Sean Penn. Here he is with the natives of Guadacanal (Melanesians). Of the "famous people" in this film, his part as the cynical Sgt. Welsh is the largest. Is Penn working his rear off or what, it's so nice to see him on film constantly again!
Ben Chaplin is front and center here. Expect him to be running about as much as he did in Chariots of Fire, but this time their will be fire, explosions, bullets, carnage... huh huh huuuuh... cooooool.
Nick Nolte as an angry Lt. Col. Tall is note perfect casting. He'll cuss and fuss and be as John Wayne as possible I bet. That craggily face is perfect for chewing people out.
John Cusack, who I last saw in Grosse Point Blank (find it, rent it, see it, it's cool) looks alot like Kirk Douglas in Kubrick's Paths of Glory here. Look at the savage look on his face, I have not seen that dynamic on Cusack's face before. Great look. I'm looking forward to his Captain Gaff.
Woody Harrelson laying in the grass. If Woody doesn't look like a guy begging for a mortar shell to blow him in tiny pieces, I don't know who does. Couldn't ya just see him relaxing in the grass and all of a sudden.... CRATER, red Crater that is. It'll never happen. Dream on Harry!
