Hey, folks. This is Glen. I'm the guy that works over at Aint It Cool's other news site, called Coaxial News. Harry put me on Prequel Patrol tonight and told me to post whatever coolness came out of this evening's Access Hollywood's alleged "Star Wars Prequel" report. He's supposing the Prequel stuff may actually get aired on tonight's Access (if it doesn't, check out AH tomorrow), and he's worried he may not be home from the Film Festival in time to catch it himself. So, here I am. Waiting. It doesn't come on until kind of late locally - so if any of you get to see this stuff earlier in the evening and want to drop me a line saying what's in the report, send it toglen@aint-it-cool-news.com and maybe I'll share it with the world.
He also asked me to listen to the Real Audio file he has available for download on the page of Prequel Info that's a part of today's Update. First off, if you've tried to listen to it and your computer gave you some kind of weird error message? That's what it did for me, also. I had to actually SAVE the RA file into my system and then click on the file name ("anthony") to play it back. Worked fine.
What was on it?
Well - it's from some kind of radio show and begins with a plug for the Special Editions being available on video-cassette. This leads into a reference that stars like Anthony Daniels as C-3P0 have "recently" finished working on the new movie. He talks about Anthony stopping by to chat, then segues into a brief Question And Answer with Golden Rod himself.
Daniels starts off saying something rather odd - something I'm not going to quote in full because, frankly, I'm not entirely sure what he was attempting to say. But he was eluding to a "pretty bad experience" regarding being in the golden suit. Things then become a little more clear, as Daniels was asked by the interviewer:
