Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.
Clint Morris of Moviehole hit me with a surprising rumor today. Well... surprising until you consider how well Hugh Grant and the Weitz Brothers worked together on this summer’s exemplary ABOUT A BOY.
Hugh Grant for "American Pie 3"?
Hugh Grant looks set to star in "American Pie 3". Chris and Paul Weitz, who directed Grant in "About a Boy" have asked Grant to star in "American Pie 3", which will be their next picture. Grant's unlikely to be shagging Pie's for this one though saying "'Nobody wants to have sex with a shepherd's pie" (Divine Brown's not much worse Hugh). The third film, will also reunite also the major male members from the first two films, but the plan is to keep the girl's out of the picture this time. It's unknown which character Grant would play in the film - but he's significantly older than his co-stars - Jason Biggs, Sean William Scott etc – so it would be nice to see who they slot him in as.
Interesting news, Clint. Thanks!
"Moriarty" out.
