Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.
Man, Rob Zombie’s got some bad movie karma.
I got a ton of these e-mails today:

Not everyone is convinced that MGM is the bad guy, though. We got this letter as well:
Guys,
Saw this on Counting Down, then contacted MGM's promo dept--"House of 1000 Corpses" by Rob Zombie has been dropped (again). This time by MGM.
Zombie will release the film straight-to-video on October 15th. Oddly enough, the promo secretary at MGM indicated that Rob is begining pre-production of his next film "Return To The Dark" after he completes the Ozzfest Tour on September 2nd.
I have seen "Corpses" recently and I support MGM's decision. The film is bad shlock and badly pieced together. The action scenes were blatantly re-shot to be more "commercial." The make-up effects were ruined by the incessant cutting, presumably to get the "R Rating." Some audience members left the test screening early. (This was a couple months ago in Elk Grove, CA at teh Laguna Theaters.)

Maybe if MGM’s out of the picture, Zombie will go back to his original cut. After all, if he’s self-distributing, why not go NC-17?
"Moriarty" out.
