According to a report on Superhero Hype SuperHero Hype, "Buffy" star Nicholas Brendon (he plays Xander Harris), is a frontrunner for the role of THE GREEN LANTERN.
Brendon spoke at a scifi conventon and told some fans that he has been in talks for a movie of the green lantern. he told them not to get too excited - but he sounds interested.
Yesterday, SH reported that "I've just heard solid word on a Green Lantern movie. Artist John Snyder III has been asked to design costumes... With modern CGI this could be the perfect mix of superhero and sci fi genres. My next question is when will Marvel get around to its Silver Surfer pic?"

Certainly an interesting report, Jess. I’ll be working to follow this one up in the days ahead. I know that Warner Bros/Joel Silver are looking for a writer now to rework their WONDER WOMAN script, and thank god, since the one they have now is a train wreck. But I know next to nothing about this project.
Color me interested. Which is sorta like green. Sorta.
