Harry here... There is something so profoundly beautiful about this Frenchman, NI2KO, with his rough English trying to describe what his French speaking mind is trying to express about EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS, but he was so excited to write in, so thrilled and delighted by the movie, that his enthusiasm is so palpable here that I'm right now wishing to god that I was seeing this tonight instead of ROAD TO PERDITION... And I'd see EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS this Thursday, but it is up against a 35mm Print of Tod Browning's FREAKS and there is no way on any planet I'd give up a Tod Browning 35mm screening of FREAKS for any other film... but if I were to... it'd be for EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS, but I just can't do that. I have to see google goggle google goggle, we accept you we accept you one of us, one of us!!!! Randion! Johnny Eck! The Hilton Sisters! How can I say, "NO!"? I can't. Must wait for Monday of Next week.... ARGH!!!!! Here ya go....
Hi my name is ni2ko, i'm french and i just came back from the french press screening of EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS (breath,breath,breath....) I will try not to spoil anything from the movie...
Ok from now on, i will try to be honnest with you...few hours ago when i passed the door of the cinema i was thinking something like "yeah it's gonna be fun...spiders, good looking babes"...but in the back of my head a little voice was telling me " it's produced by devlin and emmerich, you know it's gonna be bad, it can't be good, it will at best be an ok movie,nothing more"....oh god i was so much wrong!!! IT'S MORE THAN EVERYTHING YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!
EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS IS THE QUEEN OF THE SPIDER MOVIE, The pure moment of joy that all the geeks all over the video-club of the world has been dying to see on the big screen. From now on, i will defend with my honor and my life the name of DEVLIN of EMMERICH. Those two guys are my heroes, they send me a message. They open my eyes on the beauty of the mutant spider nation, yeah trust me spiders are good, beautiful. But when you will see the movie you will also learn that they hate you, they hate the cats (if you are a cats, don't try to play the ninja cats with a mutant spider, because the spider always win, if you are a dog, run...but if you are human take all the weapons you will find, get some ammo and get ready to rock'n roll, cause this is gonna be the ride of a lifetime).
The spider army in the movie is composed by what i called on the front line "the little stitch". For those who seen the disney movie, you will remember that stitch has a pretty bad temper, manner and a funny voice. The little stitch act like stitch, sounds like stitch but are more ugly than stitch and worst of all they're hundreds of them! On the second line you find the "jumper" very nasty little creatures. They like to kill,to kill, to kill, to be kill, to be burn, to be stabbed, to be shotted in the face, in the back in the legs. On the third line came the tarantula, only here to do the big work and at the end you get the "queen bitch" CONSUELA, big nasty and fucking ugly.
The cast of the movie is absolutely brillant from the beginning to the end. KUDOS to PETE, the sheriif assistant (this guy is so good that he deserve a movie only for him), KUDOS to HARLAN the black radio guy he is funny as hell. But the best of the best is without an hesitation KARY WHURER, this girl is so sexy that the can arrest me anytime anywhere, i promess i will not resist. And i don't even need to mention it but DAVID ARQUETTE hes as always himself which mean's excellent.
When it come on the big screen in your country don't miss it. It's easily the third best movie of the summer behind LILO AND STITCH,ROAD TO PERDITION...GO GO GO GO SEE IT YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
