Let's just say that Harry is now completely terrified in his hotel room upon reading this news... Let us all bow our heads a pray...
Harry, I've been hearing some scary and cool things from keeping my ears tuned in with them pesky nanites and those little boogers were talking about how Wil Wheaton (yeah, Wesley Crusher dude) is good friends with Roger Avary, who directed Wil in "Mr. Stitch." Anyway, Avary really wants to work with Wil again. - First off, Avary co-wrote a screenplay with Neil Gaiman himself for SANDMAN. They brought it to Warner Bros., and the exec they talked to had two major comments: "Can we get Julia Roberts to play Death?" and "Why can't Morpheus fight anybody, like be a real tough guy?" Avary and Gaiman walked and are still shopping their script around. I've heard that Avary wants Wil Wheaton to play Morpheus. Wil Wheaton as Morpheus? Also, Avary is somehow attached to the MYSTERY MEN movie at Universal. This film, based on the old Dark Horse comic (and supervised by Dark Horse Productions) was originall to star and be directed by Danny DeVito. That fell through. Now the IMDB says some newcomer named Kinka Usher is helming, and two stars attached are Geoffrey Rush and Ving Rhames. But the IMDB is only as reliable as the people who send in the information. Might be nice to hear more info about this (Wil reported that both Jim Carrey and Bill Murray were in talks regarding the film - Wil himself hopes to play Invisible Boy)
